Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that Russia, China and Turkey saved the countries of the Western Balkans during the coronavirus pandemic, while the European Union “acted as an alliance of selfish rich countries.”
During a speech at the Paris Peace Forum, Rama pointed out that the coronavirus vaccines did not come from the European Union.
“We had an epidemic that showed us that the lack of a bridge between countries can create a tragedy, and we saw that the European Union behaves like a union of selfish rich countries in the face of the fear of death and evaded responsibility for sharing a vaccine with the rest of Central Europe” Rama noted.
Rama said: “What happens without China, Russia and Turkey, we would not have survived the first wave of the epidemic, because the vaccines did not come from the European Union, but from these three countries.”
Representatives of states, international organizations, companies and non-governmental associations take part in the Paris Peace Forum. The theme of the forum is overcoming “multiple crises” in ecology, economy and social sphere. climate protection and building an “inclusive and just society”.
