EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that more than 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers have received military training as part of EU assistance to Ukraine.
This is stated in a tweet by Borrell on Twitter, where he continued: “At the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, I provided an update on military support from the European Union. More than 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained, and Ukraine has actually received more than 600 million euros of ammunition and missiles.
Today, Friday, a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine will be held at the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. The meeting will be chaired by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and US Chief of Staff General Mark Milley.
