As usual, Nothing has just disclosed the precise date of the complete reveal of its new audio product, Ear (stick).
Hence, announcing an announcement regarding an announcement The marketing team at Carl Pei has to be commended; they never skip a beat.
What we’re trying to say is that even though we still don’t have any concrete information about the Ear (stick’s) specifications, cost, or release date beyond a photo of another model holding them (and we’ve seen plenty of those strutting down the catwalk recently), we do know the day when we’ll be given official access to this data.
It is Friday, October 26. Nothing guarantees that on this day, during the online Ear (stick) Reveal, starting at 3 PM BST (which is 10 AM ET, or 1 AM on Wednesday if you’re in Sydney, Australia), we’ll be able to learn everything, including prices and product details.
Any other details? a little bit. The product is now officially known as Nothing called the Ear (stick), which is described as “the next generation of Nothing sound technology” and its “most sophisticated audio product ever.”
But there’s more! It seems that ears (stick) are “True wireless earbuds with a half-in-ear design that are unbearably comfortable and have excellent sound. They are extremely lightweight and have an ergonomic shape that fits your ears. Delivered in a special charging case that was designed with inspiration from vintage cosmetic shapes and is svelte enough to fit easily into pockets.”

Who doesn’t admire a tenacious, quirky underdog? I want—Nothing’s earphones to flourish in a market dominated by AirPods.
There is nonetheless potential for development over the Nothing Ear 1, the company’s first set of earbuds, for them to rank among the best truly wireless models available.
In addition to this unofficial “news” from Nothing, leaked pictures and videos of the Ear (stick) have started popping up online everywhere (thanks, developer Kuba Wojciechowski). They show earbuds that, regrettably, appear to remain virtually unchanged.
From gimmicks like a cylindrical container with a red part at the end that curls up like lipstick, in my opinion, the focus needs to change. Without a doubt, I enjoy a little theater, but only if the audio coming from the earphones is top-notch.
It seems appropriate for the Ear (stick) to occupy a position similar to that of Apple’s AirPods 3, where the flagship Ear (1) sits alongside the AirPods Pro 2 as a flagship product since they are the ideal partners for the Nothing Phone 1.
You can see that the form of the lipstick case probably precludes wireless charging. The Ear (stick) will likely be introduced as Nothing’s more affordable choice given this and the alleged absence of ANC.
