Nikki Haley describes Biden as weak after Moscow’s withdrawal from the treaty "New beginning"

Nikki Haley, the Republican nominee in the 2024 US presidential election, criticized President Joe Biden after Russia suspended its participation in the New START treaty, calling it “weak.”

Haley said: “Russia has been violating this agreement for a long time, so this is not new. But what is new and dangerous is that we have a weak president that our enemies think they can intimidate,” stressing that “this has to change.” .”

The White House declined to comment on Haley’s comments, citing federal ethics laws.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his speech to the Russian Federal Assembly, announced the suspension of Moscow’s participation in the START treaty, emphasizing that Russia was “not withdrawing” from the treaty, but “suspending its participation.”

This treaty was signed between Russia and the United States of America on the further reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms on January 3, 1993. The treaty is a memorandum of understanding on the registration of warheads and data for heavy bombers, as well as a protocol on procedures governing the elimination of heavy intercontinental ballistic missiles.
