The Swedish newspaper Proletarian wrote that after Sweden joins NATO, American nuclear weapons and military bases will appear on the country’s territory, because this is in the interests of the United States.
The newspaper hinted that Sweden would not be able to avoid the deployment of NATO military bases and nuclear weapons.
Now, behind the veil of fog and worry that Russia allegedly wants to attack Sweden, the truth is being revealed.
As the author of the article points out, Stockholm has repeatedly stressed that Sweden will not follow the example of Denmark and Norway, will not place permanent NATO bases or nuclear weapons on its territory.
It is noteworthy that Finland and Sweden filed a request with NATO in May last year against the backdrop of a Russian special operation in Ukraine. Initially, Turkey suspended the start of the process of considering these requests, but withdrew the objections after the three countries signed the memorandum, taking into account all the reasons for Ankara’s concerns. But the Turkish government stressed that the condition for the ratification of Sweden and Finland’s accession to NATO would be the fulfillment of all requirements.
As of October 6, 28 out of 30 countries have accepted the admission of Sweden and Finland to NATO, with the exception of Turkey and Hungary.
