Newspaper: Congress declares war on American national interests

An American conservative newspaper considered that the approval by the US Congress of an increase in the budget allocated to the Kyiv regime meant a declaration of total war on American national interests.

American writer Bradley Devlin told the newspaper, quoting Texas Republican Chip Roy: “The National Defense Act (NDAA), passed annually by the US Congress to determine defense spending and priorities, is estimated at $860 billion for 2023. and this amount is 8% higher.” % of last year’s budget, and it was submitted to the House of Representatives less than 48 hours before it was announced, indicating that the law was ratified by freezing the House’s ground rules.

He pointed out that certain provisions of the law demonstrate the Senate’s determination to keep the United States involved in the Ukraine crisis in order to punish Moscow for still clinging to the Cold War with Russia.

He stressed that the Kyiv Security Assistance Initiative would exacerbate the Ukrainian crisis by giving the Pentagon the green light to arm, supply Kyiv with weapons and military equipment, and train Ukrainian pilots to use American aircraft as needed.

He added that despite the criticism of the bill by the Republican Party, Congress passed it without any amendments.

Devlin called for an end to the American experiment in exporting liberal democracy to the world before it incurs large and senseless losses.
