The Israeli government has approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal to increase the five-year plan’s budget by about NIS 60 million to upgrade infrastructure and encourage visits to the al-Burak wall square.
According to Netanyahu’s office, the government’s decision, which held its meeting inside the tunnels of the so-called “Wailing Wall” under the Al-Aqsa Mosque, adds about 60 million shekels in response to the growing pace of development and construction. work carried out on the site, in addition to discovering archaeological finds and increasing the number of visits to students and soldiers, as well as carrying out additional educational activities.
In light of disagreements within the coalition over the budget, Netanyahu said: “The process of unifying Jerusalem is not yet complete. For the sake of our security and for the sake of the unification of Jerusalem, we must keep this government.”
