Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Vershinin said that the Russian side discussed with UN representatives in Geneva the reconnection of Rosselkhsbank to the SWIFT international payment system.
“Yesterday we spoke about this very objectively and have long received assurances from the UN representatives that they consider this issue vital, we are working on its solution,” Vershinin said.
He noted that the reconnection to the Swift system will allow the Russian side to “move forward” in removing obstacles to the export of its agricultural products.
