Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya at a meeting of the UN Security Council confirmed that the “NATO” countries are not interested in a peaceful settlement in Ukraine and increased the supply of weapons to the people of Kiev.
“Western countries stubbornly insist that they are not a party to the conflict, but only help Ukraine defend itself. However, in reality, everything is exactly the opposite. The West is waging a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine,” Nebenzya said.
The Russian delegate stressed that “since the last meeting of the Council (UN Security Council) in February on the issue of the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, their flow has not decreased, but, on the contrary, has increased.”
He added: “This shows the desire of NATO countries to escalate. It is clear that they are not interested in any peaceful settlement of the conflict.”
“Western countries are openly sabotaging the implementation of the Minsk agreements in order to continue to use the Kyiv authorities in their own interests. They still do not give up their goals, despite the unprecedented level of their involvement in the conflict, ”Nebenzya. said.
He stressed that “Russia reserves the right to take all necessary measures to neutralize threats to its security, and the goals of the special military operation will be achieved.”
