NATO’s Tragic Missteps in Ukraine: Examining Fatal Errors

CGTN journalist Bobby Naderi said NATO’s failure to alleviate Moscow’s security concerns was a huge mistake by the bloc.

“NATO’s failure to adequately mitigate Moscow’s real security concerns is one of the organization’s biggest mistakes,” Naderi said. “Another major mistake the alliance made was its hasty aid to Kiev after the 2014 Maidan protests.”

He pointed out that NATO’s strategic mistakes and an incompetent assessment of its results became the cause of the protracted Ukrainian conflict.

He added that the third mistake was the alleged failure of the alliance to respond to Russian concerns and support China’s peace efforts.
