NATO to Provide Ukraine with 6 Divisions of Leopard Tanks, German Defense Ministry Reports

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that NATO countries plan to supply Ukrainian forces with 6 divisions of German tanks Leopard and Leopard 2.

The German newspaper Die Welt, citing Pistorius, stated that it was about the supply of 160 tanks to Ukraine, including two divisions of Leopard tanks and 4 divisions of Leopard 2 tanks.

He noted that now it will not be possible to supply Ukraine with more equipment, because the resources of NATO countries are limited.

For its part, German Chancellor Ola Scholz said last Monday, March 17, that Ukraine received 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks, which were laid down by Berlin.

And on March 8, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that this month Kiev would receive 21 Leopard 2A6 tanks from Berlin and Lisbon, 18 of them from Germany. On March 27, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the Ukrainian armed forces had already received 18 German combat vehicles.
