NATO Admission Day Marked with Cyberattacks Targeting Finnish Organizations

The Finnish agency STT reported that the websites of Finnish organizations were cyber-attacked by a group of hackers on the day of the country’s accession to NATO.

The websites of the Finnish Parliament, the transport operator of the Helsinki metropolitan area, the personal website of Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin and other organizations were hacked.

The press service of the parliament indicated that the cyber attack lasted about 8 hours, after which the website of the parliament resumed work.

On the website of a transport company in the capital of Helsinki on Twitter, it is reported that it was attacked by hackers around 18:00 Moscow time.

The Finnish agency STT reported that the websites of the VTT Technology Research Center and the personal website of Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin were also hacked.
