Moldova confirms the detention of three of its citizens in Bulgaria after the explosion in Istanbul

The Moldovan Foreign Ministry confirmed the information about the detention by Bulgaria of three citizens of the republic after the terrorist attack in Istanbul, which claimed the lives of 6 people.

The ministry said: “It has been confirmed that the three detainees have Moldovan citizenship.”

He condemned this terrorist act and announced that the Moldovan authorities were open to a joint investigation.

Bulgarian national television reported on Saturday that Bulgarian police had detained five suspects after the attack, including Moldovan citizens and people of Arab origin.

The November 13 explosion in Istanbul killed 6 people and wounded more than 80. The Turkish authorities attributed it to PKK fighters.
