Messi expresses his disagreement with certain Paris fans

Argentina captain Lionel Messi, in the last period of his career in Paris, opened a crack in relations with most of the fans of his former club Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi left Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer to the American club Inter Miami.

The dispute between Messi and the Parisian fans arose after the team’s early exit from the Champions League, and the club’s fans assigned the main role in this failure to him.

Messi said in statements published by the Catalan newspaper Sport: “I think there was a break in my relationship with a large part of the Parisian fans without my intention, but what happened to me happened before with Mbappe and Neymar. “

He continued: “But I prefer to stay with those who respect me, as I have done since I came to the club.”

The Argentine star spoke about the impact of his country’s victory over France in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar on his relationship with the Parisians, saying: “I had to go back to the country I played against in the final.”

And he continued: “But I arrived in the same way, and inside the club everything was the same. For me, nothing has changed, although for some it has.”

Messi touched on the European failure with PSG, saying: “Obviously we had a goal to win the Champions League, but we didn’t achieve it.”

And Lionel Messi summed up: “The failure is like two great moments of disappointment, especially since the title is what the club wants.”
