The Evening Standard, citing officials, said Western countries were looking into the amount of aid to be given to Ukraine to give it a “decisive advantage” in the crisis with Russia.
According to the newspaper, the West wants to know “what it takes to give Ukraine a decisive advantage without launching an attack on Russia.” with modern combat aircraft later.
Officials indicate that support for Kyiv will be limited to prevent an escalation of the conflict with Russia, and, according to one official, the West will not support strikes on Russian territory, other than those directly related to military operations in Ukraine.
