Media talk about a major breakthrough in the world of digital currencies

Hackers stole nearly $200 million in crypto from the Nomad Blockchain, a bridge for transferring crypto tokens across various blockchains, CNBC quoted its sources as saying.

“Hackers in another attack obtained about $200 million worth of cryptocurrencies from Nomad, a tool that allows users to exchange tokens from one blockchain network to another,” the sources said.

The sources did not disclose how the attack was carried out or how the hack was carried out, and whether Nomad plans to compensate users who lost money.

According to a CNBC report, a bug in Nomad’s code that occurred after its update allowed more assets to be withdrawn than were placed on the platform. According to experts quoted by the American TV channel, anyone who knows the vulnerability in the code can pull the codes out of Nomad, and as soon as this became known to the hackers, they sent “armies of bots to carry out identical attacks.”

According to preliminary data, money was withdrawn from the Nomad system for hours and in small batches through different accounts.

Nomad is currently investigating and reporting to leading blockchain and forensics companies, as well as identifying and tracing the accounts involved and recovering funds.
