March in honor of Kurdish activists killed 10 years ago in Paris

Today, Wednesday, a march was held in Paris in honor of the three Kurdish activists who were killed in a shootout in the French capital in January 2013.

The demonstrators, most of them women, were shocked by the racist attack that took place in late December against Kurdish activists.

On the night of January 10, 2013, three Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) activists were shot dead in the head in a Kurdish center.

The marchers held large photographs of six Kurds killed in 2013 and late last month.

The suspected shooter in last month’s attack is a 69-year-old retired French train driver with a history of violence against foreigners. The suspect told investigators that he acted out of racial motives.
