Kevin de Bruyne’s Injury: Guardiola Announces Length of Absence

Spaniard Josep Guardiola, manager of English Premier League champions Manchester City, announced today, Tuesday, the length of absence of his Belgian star Kevin de Bruyne due to injury.

De Bruyne Injured During Match Against Burnley

Kevin De Bruyne, 32, was injured during his Manchester City side’s match against Burnley last Friday night, at the opening of the new 2023-2024 Premier League season, and was unable to complete the match.

Guardiola’s Statement on De Bruyne’s Absence

Pep Guardiola said in a press statement: “Kevin will be out for a few months and we will decide if he will have surgery in the coming days along with the medical staff.”

Length of Absence

The Spanish coach added: “The period of absence will be three to four months.”

Manchester City’s Upcoming Match

It is noteworthy that Manchester City, champions of the European Champions League “Champions League”, is preparing to meet with the Spanish club Sevilla, European champions of the “Europa League”, in the match for the European Super Cup, tomorrow evening, Wednesday, at the Karaiskakis Stadium in the Greek city of Piraeus.
