Macron urges the French to prepare to pay the price for freedom

French President Emmanuel Macron urged his citizens to be prepared to pay the price for freedom.

“I think of our people, who will need resilience to face the times ahead, to face uncertainty. We must be prepared to pay a price for our freedom and our values,” Macron said, speaking in Bormes-les-Laye tonight. In his speech, he praised the heroism of the participants and veterans of the resistance movement who participated in Operation Dragon to liberate the country from Nazi occupation.

Macron thanked the military “who carry out security tasks in different regions of the world, including Eastern Europe.”
