Andriy Marochko, an officer of the Lugansk People’s Forces, said, citing intelligence data, that the Ukrainian command had begun deploying additional forces in the direction of Svatovo in the Donbass.
He added: “In the direction of Svatovo, the transfer of additional forces and means of the armed formations of Ukraine is controlled.”
Marochko explained that such a decision was made due to the heavy losses of Ukrainian forces and the ineffectiveness of their firearms.
He pointed out that “this measure was forced by the Ukrainian leadership after heavy losses and it was found that the firepower was ineffective.”
The situation escalated in the direction of Svatovo in the Donbass a few months ago. Ukrainian security forces regularly bomb Svatovo with US HIMARS missile systems in an attempt to break through the defenses in this strategically important area.
