Lavrov and Grossi discuss the situation around the Zaporozhye railway station

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi discussed the situation around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in order to force Kyiv to stop bombing the station.

On the sidelines of the high-level week of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi and exchanged views on the safety of nuclear facilities on the territory of Ukraine, including the situation with the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

Lavrov stressed the intention of the Russian side to continue close cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency to force the Kyiv regime to immediately stop the bombing of the station and its surrounding areas, including the city of Energodar, where station employees and their families live.
