Russian MMA Fighter Umar Mamedov Suffers Dislocated Shoulder

Russian Khabib Nur Mamedov, a former champion of the Federation (UFC) in mixed martial arts (MMA), revealed the details of the injury of his cousin Umar Mamedov, indicating that he had a dislocated shoulder.

Khabib wrote on social networks: “The shoulder sometimes shifts (dislocates), returns to its place and comes out, and then comes back. This problem has been around for a year and a half or two. But in the current camp he was dislocated three or four times, and the last time was more serious. He’s going to have shoulder surgery.”

Recovery and Rehabilitation

Khabib Nur Mammadov indicated that his cousin’s shoulder would recover within four months and the fighter would need three more to regain fitness.

Withdrawal from Upcoming Fight

On July 19, it became known that Umar Nurmagomedov, for medical reasons, decided to withdraw from the fight against American fighter Cory Sandhagen, which was to be held on August 5 in Nashville, the capital of the US state of Tennessee.
