Kazakhstan. Polling stations closed for early presidential elections

The people of Kazakhstan cast their votes in the early presidential elections in a calm and friendly atmosphere, as the Prosecutor General’s Office received only 3 appeals sent for consideration to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and election commissions.

Voter turnout before the polls closed at 10:00 pm local time was 69.43 percent, with 8,299,501 voters out of an estimated 12 million people on the voter lists, according to preliminary data.

The representative of the prosecutor’s office, Azmat Sargazin, confirmed that the residents of the capital cast their votes in a positive atmosphere with a high level of organization of the electoral process.
