The US Treasury Department report showed that the US budget deficit in June amounted to $227.768 billion, compared with a deficit of $240.348 billion in May.
Analysts polled by DailyFX believe the US budget deficit will be $175 billion.
In July 2022, the US budget deficit was $88.842 billion.
The ministry’s report indicated that U.S. government spending rose 17.6% year-on-year last month to $646.085 billion, while revenues fell 9.2% to $418.317 billion.
