Isuzu assets in Russia acquired by Russian company

The Russian auto industry company Solis announced the conclusion of a deal to purchase the assets of Isuzu in Russia, noting that it would resume car production at the site of the Japanese company in the country.

The Russian company said in a statement: “Solis Corporation announces the closing of a deal to acquire 100% of Isuzu shares in Russia.”

She indicated that a car manufacturing plant in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk would be restarted. According to the statement, Isuzu Russia will supply spare parts for trucks to Isuzu.

Under the pressure of Western sanctions imposed on Russia, foreign companies have announced the exit or suspension of their business in Russia, including Isuzu. For its part, Moscow confirmed that the vacuum created by the withdrawal of companies will not remain empty and will be filled by companies from other countries.
