Iranian official: we have the ability to make a nuclear bomb

A senior Iranian official said his country has the technical capability to produce a nuclear bomb and that it has carried out extensive maneuvers to strike Israel if “our secret facilities are targeted.”

The head of Iran’s Strategic Council for Foreign Policy, Kamal Kharazi, added in an interview with Al Jazeera TV today, Sunday, that there is no decision in his country to produce a nuclear bomb, despite having the necessary technical capabilities to do so.

Harazi said that Israel was in a phase of weakness and U.S. President Joe Biden’s support for it would not bring it back to the fore, and that “targeting our security from neighboring countries will be met with a response to these countries and a direct response.” to Israel.”

Regarding negotiations with Washington on the nuclear program, he said that direct dialogue with Washington is difficult in light of the thick wall of distrust and American policy.

He also said that America has no guarantees regarding the preservation of the nuclear agreement, “and this traps any possible agreement”, noting that if the International Atomic Energy Agency were fair and independent, it would be easy to resolve differences.

He emphasized that he is not negotiating with anyone about “our missile program and our regional policy,” because this means capitulation.

He called for the start of a regional dialogue in the presence of such important countries as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar and others, welcoming Saudi Arabia’s statements of extending the hand of friendship to Iran.
