Interesting details about "Profiles on Twitter" On banning Trump after the Capitol was stormed

American journalist Matt Taipei said that the ideological preparations for blocking former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account began months before his supporters stormed the Capitol.

In a series of Friday night tweets, an independent journalist said the company’s internal communications showed how Twitter’s internal standards deteriorated in the months leading up to Jan.

Taipei released messages that it said “shows that Twitter executives are moving away from tense relationships with federal agencies.”

“While the bulk of the internal debate that led to the banning of Trump’s account took place after the January 6 Capitol riot, the intellectual foundation for this move was laid in the months leading up to the events,” the journalist explained.

According to the data he published, in October 2020, the Twitter administration created a special channel where the possibility of blocking the accounts of people associated with the presidential election, primarily high-ranking politicians, was discussed.

“After the end of Trump’s blocking, Twitter leadership began to turn to the new authorities,” journalist Matt Taipei said. “They were preparing to block the accounts of future presidents, the White House administration, and maybe even Joe Biden.”
