The virtual world has witnessed a unique collaboration between the two Spanish football poles, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
According to Metaverse trademark attorney Mike Kondodis, Real Madrid and Barcelona have filed a joint cryptocurrency and trademark application.
The two classics unveiled the brands on August 5, with the brand covering virtual reality games, non-downloadable virtual clothing, shoes, hats, downloadable blockchain transaction management software, and e-wallet software, among others.
Real Madrid and Barcelona, two Spanish football clubs, have joined forces to register a trademark covering crypto-currency transactions and their offerings to the web3 metaverse.

But these two Spanish giants are not the first to join this emerging cross-brand space. In early July, Crystal Palace Club unveiled its brand logo on non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrencies, virtual clothing and sports equipment.
Moreover, French football giant Paris Saint-Germain joined non-fungible tokens at the end of March when it applied for token-backed media, virtual clothing, sportswear and electronics, as well as cryptocurrency wallets and cryptocurrency transaction management.
