How Cassiy Johnson Earned over $766,000 with a Print-on-Demand Side Hustle Without a College Degree

The Success Story of Cassiy Johnson: Making More Money Without a College Degree

Cassiy Johnson has found a way to make more money than she ever expected, all without a college degree. Her side hustles have proven to be a lucrative source of income.

In March 2020, Johnson was furloughed from her sales job at a daycare. Seeking new opportunities, she stumbled upon a YouTube video that introduced her to the concept of “print-on-demand” side hustles. Intrigued by the idea of an easy way to earn cash, she started creating T-shirt designs on her phone and selling them on Etsy.

Print-on-demand selling involves creating designs on various products like T-shirts, mugs, and tote bags. When orders are placed, they are sent to manufacturers who then print and ship the products.

After a year and a half, Johnson’s side gig became so successful that she was able to quit her full-time sales job. She now has three revenue streams: her print-on-demand shop, another Etsy store called StopMockAndRoll, and a YouTube channel where she shares her knowledge with her 126,000 subscribers.

Out of these three ventures, Johnson finds her YouTube channel to be the most profitable. Her print-on-demand store has generated over $766,000 in revenue since 2020, with her best month reaching $100,900 in sales on Etsy.

However, due to a decrease in sales conversion rate caused by a sudden increase in views, Johnson decided to close her original shop. Nevertheless, she has already started a new print-on-demand store.

This success is a significant turnaround from Johnson’s pre-pandemic life, where she believed that without a degree, she would only be able to make ends meet.

A ‘First Taste of Being Successful’

Johnson grew up in Howell, Michigan, a rural town near Detroit. She became pregnant at 16, dropped out of high school, and worked various jobs to support herself and her child.

At age 19, Johnson found her first taste of success when she was hired as a salesperson at Art Van, a furniture store chain. She excelled in her role and became the top salesperson at her store.

Despite not having a college degree, Johnson was making $70,000 per year as a salesperson when she decided to launch her Etsy store. She realized that she needed to find something she was truly good at to leave the world of sales behind.

The Power of Confidence

Confidence plays a crucial role in achieving success, according to leadership experts. It allows individuals to make impactful decisions and stand out in the workplace.

Johnson embraces confidence in running her three businesses. She attributes her winning mindset and goal-setting abilities to her background and the self-help books she started reading at a young age.

Her past experiences have instilled in her a sense of determination and resilience. Johnson is not afraid of failure and is willing to put in the necessary hours to succeed.
