Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban without all the current European leaders.
The Kremlin website published Putin’s Christmas and New Year greetings to foreign heads of state and government, including only Orban and Vucic of all European leaders.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, when asked by journalists about whether the Russian president would congratulate the presidents of the United States and France and the German chancellor on the New Year, answered: “No, he won’t. They themselves do not initiate any congratulations, and now we have no contacts with them. And given the procedures that they do not on a permanent basis, the Russian president will not congratulate them.
