This iconic franchise once again stars Tom Cruise as his character Ethan Hunt, alongside Hayley Atwell as Grace. Atwell’s portrayal of Grace in the film has left a lasting impression on audiences, amidst the challenge of finding her place in the movie. However, she is most widely recognized for her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Universe.

In the podcast Happy Sad Confused, Hayley Atwell discussed her experience playing Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), expressing her dissatisfaction with how her character was portrayed. She voiced her disappointment at the lack of substantial development for her character in recent appearances. In contrast, Atwell expressed a preference for her role in the animated series What If…, rather than her brief appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Some internet users believe that Atwell’s comments come across as ungrateful, arguing that she should be grateful for her involvement in the MCU. However, others believe that her remarks reflect her care for her character and a desire for Peggy to have a more substantial role, deserving better treatment.
