Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Fragoyannis said that despite the tension between Athens and Ankara, the positive agenda discussed during the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was successful.
In a statement to the Greek newspaper To Vima, Fragoyiannis said on Sunday that the positive agenda discussed during Cavusoglu’s recent visit has established channels of communication between politicians and businessmen of the two countries.
During his recent visit to Athens, Cavusoglu said: “We discussed bilateral relations in depth and assessed regional issues during our meetings with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.”
He added: “We started working on specific projects with a focus on collaboration. We have reached consensus in principle on a positive 25-point agenda. At the next stage, our relevant institutions will meet to discuss cooperation in the field of transport. , energy, tourism, ecology, trade and other areas”.
