The official representative of the German government, Stephen Heppistreit, announced the inability of his country to supply Ukraine with Patriot complexes, since it has supplied its three batteries of this type to Poland, and Kyiv has nothing to supply.
He added: “These are three available Patriot systems, and it’s not that Germany doesn’t want to make tangible steps in this direction, but that it doesn’t have available systems.”
He recalled that Germany recently agreed to deploy three Patriot systems in eastern Poland to secure the airspace of Poland, a NATO ally.
