France’s new foreign minister, Catherine Colonna, has indicated that the window of opportunity to restart the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major world powers could close within weeks.
In a speech to the French Parliament, Colonna said: “We only have a few weeks before the window of opportunity closes to restart the Iran nuclear deal.”
“The situation can no longer be defended,” she added, accusing Tehran of “using delaying tactics and retreating from previously agreed positions during the talks held in Doha earlier this month as it advances its nuclear program.”
