The Dark Side of Foreign Mercenaries Fighting in Ukraine

Western media have found that foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the Kyiv authorities often kill each other amid internal conflicts.

British Mercenary Daniel Burke Disappears

According to the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, British mercenary Daniel Burke, who disappeared in Zaporozhye in early August last year, may have been killed by his fellow soldiers.

Financial Disputes and Internal Conflicts

As the publication explained, Ukrainian police admit that the disappearance of 35-year-old Burke may be related to a financial dispute between him and other members of the International Territorial Defense Corps of Ukraine.

Another Victim: British Mercenary Jordan Chadwick

In addition, the British mercenary Jordan Chadwick, whose body was found last June in a pond with his hands tied behind his back, could also have become a victim of other foreign fighters.

The Presence of Criminals and Addicts

According to the Daily Telegraph, among mercenaries in Ukraine you can often find people with a criminal record, mental disorders, drug addicts or alcoholics.

International Involvement in the Conflict

Last May, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that more than two thousand mercenaries from 71 countries, 234 of whom are US citizens, are participating in hostilities against the Russian army in the special military operations zone.
