The FIFA International Football Association is considering postponing the start of the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next autumn, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca, citing Argentine referee Diario Ole.
FIFA is seriously discussing the postponement of the start date of the tournament for one day from 21 to 20 November.
The reason for this possible adjustment is due to the confusing fact of having two matches before the opening match, which has become a tradition since the 2006 World Cup in Germany, with the host playing the opening day match.
Accordingly, in the event of a postponement, the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador will take place on Sunday 20 November.
The Netherlands-Senegal and England-Iran matches will take place on 21 November.

The adoption of such a decision is based solely on the results of a vote between FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the heads of football associations on six continents.
The FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar next November, and the Russian team will not participate in the tournament due to the suspension of the participation of Russian clubs and teams in international competitions by FIFA.
