Army Radio reported that an Israeli army ambush resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians after they opened fire on a military point near the Elon Moreh settlement in the Nablus region.
And Palestinian media reported that “two Palestinian youths were shot dead today, Tuesday, by Israeli forces in the village of Deir al-Khatab, east of Nablus, during an armed clash near the settlement of Elon Moreh.”
Ahmed Jibril, director of the Red Crescent Ambulance Service in Nablus, said the brigades took a young man, wounded in the shoulder by live bullets and shrapnel, to Rafidia State Hospital.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces prevented a Red Crescent ambulance from reaching another wounded man.
The Jewish website Ynet states: “Israeli forces from the 636th Observation Battalion ambushed the Elon Moreh near Nablus and were able to identify a cell that fired a shell at a settlement checkpoint next to the settlement. Two members of the cell wounded a third, who was taken to the Rafidia hospital in Nablus and appeared to be the leader of the squad. Pistols and a 16-mm rifle were found with them, there were no wounded among the soldiers.
