Former Spain midfielder Cesc Fàbregas announced today, Saturday, his final retirement from football at the age of thirty-six in preparation for entering the training arena.
“After 21 years as a professional player, the time has come to announce his retirement,” Fabregas, a former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona player, wrote on social media.

And he continued: “(My career) will remain an unforgettable journey. I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all my colleagues, the coaches who supervised me, sports directors, presidents, club owners, team supporters and my manager.”
Fàbregas has had a stellar record in football, winning the World Cup with his country in 2010 and twice the European Cup in 2008 and 2012, as well as many local titles for the teams he has defended.
Fabregas will begin his coaching career managing the reserves of Italian second division club Como, with whom he recently played.
