Erdogan: Turkey is seeking a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country is seeking a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Turkey’s Anadolu news agency quoted Erdogan as saying that Turkey is seeking to resolve the crisis between the two countries in this way.

Erdogan added that his country attaches particular importance to the Balkan region and announced a tour that would take him to three Balkan countries in the first week of next September.

Erdogan called the export of grain from Ukrainian ports through Turkey to the world an important event for humanity.

The Turkish President addressed the media after presiding over a cabinet meeting in Ankara.
