Erdogan praises trusting relationship with Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he has developed a relationship of trust with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, without which it would be impossible to resume the “grain deal”.

On October 30, Russia suspended its participation in the export of products from Ukrainian ports after the Kyiv terrorist attack on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships in the waters of Sevastopol. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the resumption of the “grain deal” by Russia.

According to the Kremlin, information was received through the Russian Ministry of Defense that Kyiv had assured that it would not use the humanitarian corridors of the “grain deal” for military purposes.

Commenting on the resumption of the deal, Erdogan said: “This is the policy of the leaders that we used with the respected Mr. Putin. Of course, without a trusting relationship, all this would be impossible, and here I mean all areas, such as the Akkuyu nuclear power plant, Sinop, and defense issues, ”noting that he expects to continue telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin .

“We will continue telephone diplomacy if we cannot meet at the G20 in Indonesia and we expect to achieve peace,” Erdogan told reporters at Esenboga Airport in Ankara before flying to Samarkand.
