Erdogan and Putin discuss by phone the energy dossier and regional issues, including the grain corridor and the fight against terrorism

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin the energy dossier, bilateral relations and regional issues, including the grain corridor and the fight against terrorism.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said President Putin and President Erdogan had a telephone conversation on Sunday.

Regarding the grain agreement, President Erdogan said during a telephone conversation that preparations could be made for the gradual export of food and other goods within the grain corridor, Anadolu news agency reported.

Erdogan pointed out that to date, more than 13 million tons of grain have been delivered to those in need through joint efforts under the agreement.

Erdogan also expressed his sincere wish for a speedy end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Erdogan: Clearing the Syrian border from terrorists at a depth of 30 km is a top priority

On the other hand, Erdogan emphasized the need and priority to clear the Syrian border with Turkey from terrorists at a depth of at least 30 km in the first stage, in accordance with the Sochi agreement concluded in 2019.

President Erdogan indicated that the BKK/YPG/BYD terrorist organizations continue their separatist activities in northern Syria and their terrorist attacks against Turkey.
