Egyptian stock exchange loses around £5bn in one day

The Egyptian Stock Exchange ended trading Tuesday broadly lower, pressured by selling from foreign dealers, as market capital lost £4.7bn to close at £687.625bn.

The EGX30 Index was down 0.82% to close at 9867 points, the EGX50 Index was down 0.87% to close at 1886 points and the Weighted EGX30 Index was down 0.94% to close at 1886 points. level 12150 points.

On the other hand, the EGX30 total return index fell 0.81% to close at 3992. The EGX 70 Equilibria SME Index fell 1.44% to close at 2153, while the EGX 100 Equilibrium Index shed 1.3% to close at 3083.
