Egypt pledges support to Iraq and expresses willingness to sign significant agreements, confirms Al-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s firm support for Iraq’s security and stability, as well as his pride in the depth and strength of the strategic relationship between the two countries.

During a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shaya Al-Sudani Al-Sisi, he stressed his country’s desire to strengthen and diversify the framework of mutual bilateral cooperation in various political, economic, trade and cultural fields, whether at the bilateral level or through a trilateral cooperation mechanism with Jordan.

Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani visits Egypt for the second time in 100 days as he leads an expanded delegation that includes 12 ministers from various service and security ministries, as well as a number of Iraqi businessmen who are due to meet with their Egyptian counterparts .

The Iraqi Ministry of Commerce announced the completion of 10 agreements between Cairo and Baghdad to be signed by the prime ministers of the two countries during Al-Sudani’s visit, including the areas of sports and youth, housing, construction, work and social affairs.
