An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 struck the Aegean Sea on Sunday morning.

The Turkish Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) said in a statement that the quake struck at 06:09 local time.
Epicenter and Depth
The statement added that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 33.46 km from the Datca district of Mugla state.
He noted that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 57.6 kilometers.

Notably, the Aegean Sea, extending from the Mediterranean, lies between Greece to the west and north, Turkey to the east, and the island of Crete to the south, and connects to the Sea of Marmara through the Dardanelles.
