Earthquake hits off coast of Greece

According to the Seismological Center of the University of Athens, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Greece on Tuesday morning.

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake was registered in the Aegean Sea at 7:32 am, according to information released by the Department of Disaster Management and Emergency Management.

The earthquake occurred 56 km northeast of Athens, in the sea, near the island of Euboea, at a depth of 2 km.

Hours earlier, several small shocks of 2-2.5 magnitude were recorded in this area.
