During his European tour, Zelensky is amassing arms for a retaliatory strike, says Ukrainian Foreign Minister

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is touring European countries collecting weapons for a counterattack.

Last Saturday, Zelensky visited Italy and the Vatican, and on Sunday he went to Germany, where he met with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at his residence in Bellevue.

On Sunday evening, he traveled to Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, while Zelensky arrived in London today, Monday, where he met with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

“The President collects weapons for the counteroffensive, not specifically, but for the war,” Kuleba wrote. “The President does not travel abroad if there are no decisions on specific military groups.”

Earlier, Russia sent a memorandum to NATO countries regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov indicated that any supply of weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia, and the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that NATO countries were “playing with fire” by supplying Ukraine with weapon.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the pumping of weapons into Ukraine from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative impact.

Lavrov also mentioned that the US and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, “including not only the supply of weapons, but also the training of personnel … in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries.”
