Defense Ministry Official Dismissed from Position Just Days After Being Appointed in Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine fired Ruslan Rygofanov, acting director of the Department of Resource Support, a few days after his appointment.

And in a statement published by the ministry on Facebook, it says: “On Wednesday, June 28, a decision was made to remove the acting director of the Resources Provision Department and appoint Ruslan Rygofanov as the interim director of the Resources Provision Department, and today, on Saturday, On July 1, he was suspended from his duties.”

It is noteworthy that the dismissal of Rygonov occurred after the appearance of conflicting information about him, since the data currently available indicate that the department has launched an internal review procedure to investigate a number of identified facts.

Earlier, the Ukrainian media published information referring to the Ukrainian military and public figure Oleg Simoroz that Rygofanov participated in political talk shows on Russian television, and also participated in illegal schemes related to the Golosevsky National Park.
