Poultry Prices in Egypt Show Fresh Decline
Today, Sunday, poultry prices in Egypt showed a fresh decline in early trading on the stock market and markets after a significant decline recorded in recent days.
Tharwat Al-Zaini, vice president of the General Poultry Federation, explained that poultry prices have fallen from £68 to £55 in poultry farms, meaning they have fallen by £13.
He pointed out that the main reason is related to the decrease in feed prices and their availability, noting that high temperatures also play a big role in reducing prices, which force breeders to sell birds early to avoid their long stay in poultry farms.
Al-Zaini added that the mortality rate of poultry due to high temperatures ranges from 2 to 5 percent.
