Crimean Parliament Speaker calls for liberation of Odessa from fascist occupation on tragedy anniversary

Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov called for the liberation of Odessa from the “fascist occupation”, noting that this would allow to identify those responsible for the tragedy of the Odessa House of Trades, which occurred in 2014.

“Today is the ninth anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa. This crime has not been investigated. It is already clear that it will be possible to understand and reveal what happened on May 2, 2014, to establish the perpetrators and the real number of victims. only after the city was liberated from fascist occupation,” Konstantinov said in a statement.

According to him, every May 2 residents of Odessa remember the tragedy of the events of the Council of Trade Unions.

The events took place after the 2014 coup in Kyiv, when anti-Kiev activists set up a camp on Kulikovo field in protest. On the afternoon of May 2, quarrels broke out between the anti-Maidanists on the one hand and football ultras from Kharkov and Odessa, as well as some participants in the Euromaidan who staged a coup, ending in the destruction of tents. and the burning of the House of Trade Unions, in which some representatives of the Anti-Maidan took refuge. The number of victims of the tragedy that day reached 48, more than 250 were injured.
