Russian President Vladimir Putin said that foreign tanks “burn better” than Soviet ones.
Putin said in an interview with Russia 24 on Thursday: “I can say that the Ukrainian military often refuses to ride these tanks because they are the first target of our youth, and they are destroyed first of all on the battlefield.”
And he continued: “It burns like all other tanks, and even more than the other, well-known Soviet T-72.”
Putin pointed out that “as of yesterday evening, as of June 4, 311 tanks were destroyed, and most of them, that is, at least a third of them, are Western-made, including the Leopard type.
Putin also considered that the supply of Western weapons “will not benefit Kyiv” and will aggravate the conflict.
